I’m an artist living in Naarm (Melbourne) on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
I trained as an animator at the Queensland College of the Arts (2000) and as an actor at the Victorian College of the Arts (2008).
Alongside acting and drawing I’ve spent most of the last 15 years working to support the creativity of children and young people. Most recently I was program designer and facilitator with not for profit 100 Story Building. Over nine years there I delivered programs to support children as writers, designers, artists and thinkers. I’m not sure how exactly many kids I’ve worked with over the years but it’s somewhere close to 20,000.
I also love games where people roll dice and make up stories together (like dungeons and dragons). I design and illustrate adventures for other people to play – it’s very fun.
I believe art is at it’s most powerful when it is opening up our ability to connect inwards with ourselves and outwards with community. We all need every opportunity to turn toward each other through the things that light us up.
